As of September 2012 the new EYFS comes into force. The Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) sets the standards that all early years providers must meet to ensure that children learn and develop well and are kept healthy and safe. It promotes teaching and learning to ensure children’s ‘school readiness’ and gives children the broad range of knowledge and skills that provide the right foundation for good future progress through school and life.
We have written our own brief introductory guide to the EYFS and how we work with it at Wick Pre-School, which can be downloaded from the link below.
To ensure the safe and effective running of Wick Pre-School and to help us do the very best for your child we have written a set of Policies & Procedures covering a wide range of subjects. Some of these policies are required in order to comply with the requirements set down by the EYFS and Ofsted. We regularly review and update our policies to help make sure that our pre-school continues to strive to do its best for the children in our community.
A full set of policies is available for parents/carers to view at Wick Pre-School but we include a selection of our key policies below. We welcome any comments or suggestions for improvements from parents/carers. Please speak with any member of our staff is you would like to discuss any of our policies.
